Whew, it’s been a long offseason. Where were we? Oh yes, the last time you saw us, a pandemic sprung up on all of us and we abruptly said goodbye to an eventful season none of us will forget. Our hope this year is to provide the same amount of stories and memories without all the chaos.
First off, we are open this season! While we want to keep your Peruvian experience the same as it always has been, there are some things different this year.
Alta’s COVID Response
The Alta Ski Area recently released their COVID-19 response. Something to note: they are indeed limiting the managing skier capacity throughout the season. But rest assure all Peruvian guests are guaranteed a spot on the mountain. We know you come for skiing, and you’re going to be able to ski, that’s a guarantee.
Rooms & Reservations
We have suspended our usual cancellation policy and all reservations are fully refundable throughout the 2020-21 season. We only ask that you please let us know as early as you can if your plans change.
We are only selling guest rooms (Alpine, Superior and Suites) that come with private bathrooms as our communal bathrooms will be unavailable. This also assists in limiting overall occupancy. Plus the men and women dorms will be unavailable for the season outside of same-family members.
In an effort to reduce contact with guests, our regular housekeeping operations are reduced. Fresh towels will be available and trash will still be emptied daily. Should you wish to ski on the day of your arrival or departure, we offer luggage storage at the front desk.
Public Areas & Dining
Outside of the rooms, all our public areas have been reconfigured to maximize social distancing. Sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the lodge and all staff will be wearing masks to ensure your safety and comfort. While the restaurant will be open, seating has been spread out and we’ll even utilize the adjacent Alf Engen room for supplemental space. Guests will not be asked (or required) to sit with others unless they specifically agree to do so.
With all that said, Peruvian still looks the same, the food still tastes as good as ever, and P-Dawg will definitely sound the same. We promise you’ll get on the mountain to ski and we promise this will be another season you never forget. Can’t wait to see you. It’s been a long offseason.
