Is there anything better than cozying up after a long day on the slopes and enjoying a celebratory winter cocktail? Our bar manager Matt Taylor loves to mix up cocktail confections or serve tasty brews for guests at the Alta Peruvian Lodge.
Check out a few of his favorites:
Chilcano: Locally brewed Cecret Ginger Beer mixed with Pisco —a Peruvian grape-based brandy — makes for a refreshing apres-ski cocktail. Fresh lime and bitters complete this traditional South American beverage.
Daiquiri: A tribute to the classic recipe — no blender required. Small-batch Sugarhouse Silver Rum makes for a perfect complement to fresh-squeezed grapefruit, lime and a touch of sugar that is shaken and strained over a glass of ice. A Peruvian Bar spin on an old-school cocktail that would impress even Hemingway.
Local Draft Beer: The Peruvian Bar offer eight locally brewed drafts that will satisfy every beer lover’s palate. Whether it be the traditional Czech-style pilsner made by Bohemian Brewery or the ski-inspired Yard Sale Winter Lager by Uinta Brewing Company, you will surely find something tasty on draft to go with everyone’s favorite fresh-popped P-Dog popcorn.
Mountain West Ruby Hard Cider: This crisp hard apple cider has quickly become a local favorite. Locally brewed, 100 percent organic and with zero sugar added, it’s a “healthier” apres-ski drink option. Plus, the champagne yeast used in the brewing process gives it a wonderfully spirited special occasion vibe.
