One thing that we boast about a lot at the Peruvian is that we have some very loyal guests that return to us season after season. And same goes for Pat Hagan, who we’ve selected to be our first Guest Spotlight blog.
It all began back in 2008 when he and some friends were trying out different ski areas around the country to find the perfect place. His first stay at the Peruvian was just a few days. Upon future returns, his stays progressed to a one week stay, then two and until this season where he has stayed a total of 28 days (yes you read that right, 28).
Pat fixes high rise elevators in Manhattan for a living and is a member of the International Union of Elevator Contractors Local One. We ask Pat why he comes back year after year and he says that staying at the Peruvian and skiing Alta helps keep him focused. But his main reason for coming here is the people. And over the years Pat has developed friendships with other guests from throughout the country and plans his vacations accordingly.
His favorite lift to take at Alta is Wildcat which feeds into Westward Ho where he gets the most enjoyment out of skiing. Alta is now the sole place that he skis- in fact he hasn’t even skied near his home for at least five years.
Pat mostly enjoys eating steak at dinner. But frequent requests have come in for the Mac and Cheese dish, which is his ultimate favorite. But after a hard day of skiing, he likes just about whatever we are serving. As he likes to say, “Hunger is the best sauce.” Everyone at the Peruvian certainly enjoy the times that Pat’s fun-loving personality is present. We see see Pat as family – heck he has even joined us a few times on our annual employee bowling outings. We hope to see him here for many years to come!
