But it’s never goodbye. We’ve had quite the epic season here at the Peruvian and for more reasons than you’d think!
Let’s start with the snow…holy pow! It started a little bumpy only have a few inches on the ground by mid November…but that quickly changed. This season is going down in the books as “Utah’s snowiest winter in half a decade,” and we think Alta had a lot to do with that.
Year over year, our snowfall continues to improve – seeing a total of 527 inches this season. That’s the first time in 4 years we’ve had over 500 inches. With all the early snow, we were able to quickly install a snow-bridge access way from Westerward Ho back to the lodge and our guests were very thankful for its return.
Guests that reserved the male dorm room were pleasantly surprised upon arrival with the new addition of an attached full bathroom including two showers, toilet & sink. This was very well received and appreciated. In fact, it’s one of our more popular room types now – so remember to book your reservation early guys.
From all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we can tell that our seasonal staff did a tremendous job at making sure all of our guests were taken care of. And speaking of reviews, we want to thank everyone who provided feedback about their stay. We have increased the amount of reviews by about 100 this season and currently rank 1 out of 5 speciality lodges in Alta! Your feedback is so valuable because it gives us the opportunity to not only know what we’re doing right but areas in which we can improve.
Although our forecast calls for another 3-5 inches of snow this week, we are already preparing for summer – which is wedding season! Our small but dedicated team will be here to ensure all our wedding parties have a fabulous time using our facilities.
While you’re away, be sure to stay tuned to our upcoming emails this summer – we have a lot more in store for you!
